Though I value hard work, I am of the mindset to work smarter, not harder, when the opportunity presents itself. Writing is a daily occurrence in my classroom, and many students already find writing to be a hard, painstaking task; it is my goal to make writing engaging for every student.
There are so many ways to make the process of writing more accessible, convenient, and student-centered, and technology can help make that happen. With Chromebooks in my classroom, my students would have the opportunity to seek more information online, more easily make edits from draft to draft, and share/receive feedback on their writing more conveniently with their peers.
I work very hard to intrinsically motivate students to write, but having reliable, accessible technology readily available in my classroom could help my students (and me) work smarter and harder on the things that matter.
