My students read daily! For second graders, it is truly the most important thing that they could be doing. I want to get my students excited about and as engaged in what they are reading as possible.
These Scholastic Magazines come weekly and are full of relevant and engaging material that will keep students excited about reading the next issue. I have included three magazines. The Scholastic News magazine is full of content that is connected to science, social studies, and reading. The nonfiction articles are full of text features that will support my classroom instruction. The Science Spin magazine further supplements science instruction and will be a great support for my kids as we push to become a STEM classroom! The Storyworks Jr magazine is full of literacy content from every genre, so it is bound to keep my students wanting more.
These magazines will show my students the type of reading that they will continue to do for the rest of their lives. I am excited to get my students engaged in what they are reading, and I hope that you are excited for it too!
