Last year I acquired a basic drone prior to the school year. Not really knowing what to expect, I started a drone club at my school. The kids were not only super excited about it, but we had to place restrictions on how many could join due to the excitement. This year, I would like to continue my drone club, however this time I would like to invest in some drones I can have the kids actually program themselves. With these two drones, the kids would be able to use block programming systems online to direct the drones to fly, turn, and move up and down. I would love to have my kids program the drones to successfully navigate an obstacle course. Many careers nowadays require programming experience, and teaching our students programming at a middle school level may lead to a lifelong interest in science and engineering!
