These math tools in my project will help my students explore counting, measuring, addition and subtraction with tens and ones, and identifying and counting coins through our hands on math curriculum. The books included in my project will assist the students in better understanding story elements, character feelings, and character traits. They will help my students think deeply about the stories and have conversations with classmates rather than just reading. They will also accompany our reading and writing curriculum and be used as mentor texts. These resources will all around help my students to grow and make their year in first grade a success.
