I believe in fostering a love of reading with my high school students. However, because of the cost, I do not have enough highly engaging books in my classroom. Without books that my students "see" themselves in, they cannot develop a love of reading and a sense of belonging. For some students, these books will be the first that they read cover to cover. They will be used in our first ever endeavor with Book Clubs! I am so excited about the possibilities that will come with this first project, and I cannot wait to discuss and learn with them.
