The materials and supplies that I am requesting already have a good "home". Meaning I know exactly where they are going to go in my small room. I work with over 130 students on a weekly basis and work mainly with small groups. My students need a fostering learning environment that has flexible seating, students close to me at all times (kidney table) and an easily maintained organized classroom.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
I currently am in a very small "room" that has one round table and a some shelves. With more organizational tools such as the drawer organizer, kidney table and desk, my students and I will be able to function in a more safe and orderly environment. The shape of the kidney table will give the students and I more room to walk around and be close to each other at the same time while learning. The bouncing ball seats will provide students the flexibility to sit, bounce or stand while at the table to meet the needs of their individuality. The dry erase pocket folders will come in handy for small group word work as well as the magnetic letters. Students will be able to use the small desk for independent work when assessments need to be given.
