I chose some exercise bands, bath mats, lap desks, white board clipboards and cushion floor seats for some flexible seating choices. These choices will help students spread out and work independently on writing, math, and reading. Some students have a hard time sitting in chairs and exercise bands help them to get those extra wiggles out. A good routine and flow in the classroom is very important! I also chose some things to help organize our classroom. I chose folder/journal holders for our interactive journals and take home folders. I also chose center sign holders for our students to velcro their name to when rotating to each center. These materials have all came in handy in my past years of teaching kindergarten. Recently I had to move from Texas leaving all of my flexible seating behind so the students can benefit from them in the future.
