I feel that alternative seating will help my students be able to focus better. Many are on medication and have difficulty sitting at a regular desk for hours. Alternative seating would also be an incentive they could earn and that would help with behaviors as well. These students have situations where their families move often and at times their families can't afford their medicine which makes it even more difficult for them to sit still and focus. I feel that a variety of seating would be an incentive as well as a fun way to engage them in learning. As adults we dont enjoy sitting in a hard chair for hours and shouldn't expect kids to.
