I will be able to introduce STEAM to my students with the Toy Design Workshop. The project is aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards and guides students through the engineering and design process, giving them the chance to brainstorm, build, redesign innovative machines. Students can construct, play, and then design something entirely new with the existing components. It is an excellent introduction to entrepreneurship and marketing, allowing kids to develop brand identities, logos, store fronts and sale pitches for their "product lines". Help my students get an introduction into the engineering and design process in a fun and meaningful way.
