We serve a majority of low-income families who are unable to send a majority of school supplies. Unfortunately, this means that most parents are unable to furnish books at home for their children and often refuse to take them to the local library. Most also do not see the significance of the ability to read.
I’ve moved from kindergarten to first grade this year. Unfortunately, the books that were left in the room are for grade levels 3 and 4. I brought a few books with me but that is not enough to even begin filling our class library. My students need the diverse classroom library I am requesting to help engage and grow their little minds. I would appreciate any any donation to help toward filling our class library. Reading is building block to their future. Please help me put books in the hands of my sweet children!
