Research has shown that being uncomfortable is distracting and unproductive. Students loose focus when sitting in a chair all day. Being able to move around and find somewhere comfortable will help students stay engaged. Rather it be a bean bag, a rocking chair, pillow or a soft seat comfortable seating is the way to go. This project will ensure my students' learning by allowing them to have comfortable seating around the room. Comfortable seating will help students focus while reading. By being able to focus, students will then be able to have a higher reading stamina. I know when I sit or lay in a comfortable spot I can dive deeper in a good book. I want my students to be able to tap into their imagination, by escaping into their books. Comfortable seating will allow this to happen.
