Having essential school supplies is necessary for student success. Specifically, pencils, erasers, page protectors to keep notes safe, high-lighters, post-it’s, colored paper, and index cards. Many of my students are English Language Learners and students who’s struggle leaning. These students benefit from hands-on, collaborative learning stations that incorporate reading, writing, listening, and speaking. These supplies will me differentiate lessons for my students to help them overcome barriers in English Language Arts. Having these items already supplied for my students will be an added motivation to get through the crucial year, in which at the end students will be ready for State exams. My campus is a Title I campus; most of my students are low-socioeconomic and cannot always get the basic supplies they need to be successful at school. Some of my students are still dealing with the aftermath from Hurricane Harvey.
