Books and reading help one create an imagination that differs from anyone else. The Grade 3 Classic Grade Level Library I requested is going to be used to expand the horizons and imaginations of my students as they read. With a 52 fiction book assortment, they will be able to choose a book that is appealing to them in which, will be both interesting and engaging. In addition, I have requested other books (fiction and nonfiction) to provide more reading opportunities for learners to engage in.
鈥淭he more that you read, the more things you will know; The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.鈥
As mentioned above by Dr. Seuss, books can support students by providing them with knowledge and challenging their imagination. This will open new doors to the world that they can play an active role in. It gives them a break from their realities and helps them see life in a different perspective.
These books will be a wonderful addition to my classroom as well as, privacy shields which will allow students to isolate themselves from distractions in other parts in the room. Also, clipboards will be used during reading centers where they can answer comprehension questions requiring them to be an active reader. While answering comprehension questions, students will be annotating books with the flair pens, markers, and crayons to support their skills in comprehension. The erasers will be helpful as it conveys to students that mistakes are acceptable and they can go back into the text in order to correct their initial answers. Lastly, the card stock and laminating pouches will be used to make literacy centers for students to use in aiding their comprehension development. Please help support my kids at as it will open doors for their future!
