The Dalai Lama said, "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible." First, my students will study the heart paintings of artist Jim Dine. Next, we will discuss the importance of being kind. Then, my students will paint their own heart design on a canvas that will be sent to a student in Honduras.
The donation of these canvases will allow my students to create art that will exchanged with students in Honduras. I think that my students will learn despite being separated by distance, kindness connects us all. In this global society, I want my students to understand the power of kindness.
