My first grade class needs white boards!
Students will use white boards daily for reading instruction, hand writing, dictation, and math. Students will use the lined side of the white boards to demonstrate sound-spelling relationships during reading instruction for a quick formative assessment to determine the mastery of the skills. We will also use them for handwriting practice as the white boards provide a quick and easy way for students to correct their handwriting without losing valuable time erasing paper. The back blank side of the white board will be used for daily math instruction.
Students will also use the magnetic white boards and letters during our independent workshop time to practice spelling patterns and word families. I anticipate they will stay engaged in learning by being able to move and manipulate letters into words.
By donating to this project, you will help provide engaging materials that will help support all learners. Thank you for your consideration.
