These books and materials will help to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create in a time of technology. My classroom library is a place students can pick a book on their level or that interest them and enjoy the task of reading to them self. This allows students to begin to enjoy reading and not making it a chore.
Every book that is placed in my library is treated with care and respect as students are always thankful for the opportunity to read. I have carefully chosen these books and materials to help my students this year become better students and continue to enjoy reading.
The best way to increase knowledge and students reading ability is to read more. My students will not be able to do this without your help. As I start my journey in the third grade classroom my students are currently limited to my Kindergarten leveled books and picture books. Although the picture books are wonderful, it is not what all students need and will not provide rigor to any student.
This project will help spark independent reading and enrich my students experiences in the printed world of books.
