My students are kindergartners in a rural area of Northern California. 88% are on a free or reduced lunch program. Many of the students come from broken homes, live with grandparents or in foster homes. Many do not have exposure to books or technology outside of the school setting. They are faced with many challenges,yet are eager to learn and love school and all it offers!
