After researching, I learned how technology is allowing students to learn at their own pace. Further, it’s revealed how tablets are increasing the classroom learning which shows up in varies testing scores around the nation. Based on this information, I would like my upcoming Kindergarten class to have tablets. Kindergarten is an important foundational time in a child’s educational development. Since I will have the privilege to teach 24-30 students in the upcoming year, I would like to make certain I can maximize their reading, writing, and arithmetic skills with technology as well as traditional classroom learning. Currently, the school where I teach has a considerable amount of low-income families. Therefore, the students are not privy to additional resources in an effort to advance their learning opportunities. I have seen students enter kindergarten struggle academically, socially and behaviorally. When I am aware of a student lacking the necessary skills needed to be a successful student, I desire my classroom to be fully equipped to meet that need. I am required to provide at least 6 educational small groups that will challenge and enhance my students reading, writing, math, science and technical skills. I desire to have one of those small groups designated for the use of tablets. The student will be able to access learning applications on the tablet that will be centered on the learning theme. Technology for our classroom please and help fund my classroom with our first 6 tablets.
