Beginning this fall (2016), I will be one of three ESL teachers in my building.My school has roughly 740 students; 60% of them speak a language other than English as their first language. Our population has a very low socioeconomic status, and our parents work very hard to make ends meet, often working more than one job. For many of our families, the only interaction with books or technology happen within our school walls.
