I feel my students feel empowered when they have choices over their classroom environment. Flexible seating will allow my students to choose beanbags, stools, or yoga balls and pick a location or position he/she feels comfortable to complete tasks.
Children need to move around.
Flexible seating will allow students to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand which will keep them alert. This type of seating will help students find their spot to be calm, focused and productive.
By incorporating these objects students will share and take turns in different locations, with different seating objects which will promote community and collaboration.
