Unfortunately Covid-19 has taken away a lot of our face to face class time. That is why the resources I am requesting will make my face to face class time not only educational but fun!
Research says that Kindergartners learn best through play! All of the resources I requested are hands on fun activities. I will use the requested educational games and manipulatives to teach my kindergartners the skills to learn how to identify letters, sounds, how to blend and also introduce them to writing. For letter identification I will be using the ABC Phonics Rug, letter manipulatives, alphabet bulletin board set, wikki sticks, alphabet floor puzzles, and alphabet flash cards. To teach sounds and blending I will be using the decodable readers, cvc word builder game, mirrors, two color counters, phonics reading games, and the blend and digraph dominoes. The Big Joe chair will be added to my library for alternative seating and an incentive for successful goals. To introduce writing I will be using the dry erase boards, markers, pencil grips, colored pencils and the sentence building game. My students will also be learning social skills, and kinesthetics, that are primarily learned through play.
