These gelli printing plates will give my students a chance to experience a unique way of printmaking. As a class, we will go out into nature to collect different objects such as leaves, twigs, and other natural objects to place onto our gelli plates. Students will be using paint and will be making prints of these natural objects. We will discuss color theory, so students will be able to pick colors that go well with each other. When the print is pulled there will be silhouettes of the natural objects on the paper. We will also experiment with ghost printing. This project is about the art making process.
