Students will be able to enjoy a sustainable and diverse library by using e-readers in the classroom. Often times, students have limited access to books at home, or are unable to check-out books from the library due to over-due fines. Using E-readers in the classroom will also allow me to build a differentiated library with books that are high-interest, but at varying levels, to support the diverse learners in my classroom. Kindles are also a great way to support English Language Learners in the classroom as well, because they can use the support of audio text with their reading, which can aid with fluency and build confidence. I can't wait to get these Kindles in the hands of my students to ignite their excitement for reading!
