I teach multiple science classes in which I could always use calculators so students are not using their phones or Chromebooks to calculate things. I am hoping to get a classroom set of calculators so that we can put away our cell phones and have less of a distraction around us. When it comes time for students to take a test, I will not let them use their phone as a calculator which tends to be a problem as they do not own a calculator. By having this classroom set of calculators, I can add more integrity to my tests by being able to restrict cell phones all together during tests.
