I have learned that by having good quality books available for the students, the students will have a better chance to get a book and read. Kids like to read books that are appealing to them, or related to what they are learning. These grade level books will be beneficial to them not only by enhancing their vocabulary and comprehension skills, but also by relating it to what is being taught! I will have read-alouds to promote student engagement in the lessons. This way, the students will be able to make connections or predictions to what they will be learning about.
About my class
