Over the past 11 years,I have worked as a kindergarten and first grade teacher. These experiences afforded me the ability to grow as an educator and student advocate. I have also been afforded the opportunity to work as a teacher in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This was an amazing teaching experience in many ways. Moreover,it has further enhanced my passion for connecting to a diverse array of students. I currently am a K-5 Special Ed Teacher. I work with students who have mild to moderate disabilities. My overall teaching philosophy is to meet students where they are. I strive to ensure that my teaching methods are varied in order to tailor to the needs and learning styles of my students. Sometimes being in the regular education classroom can be overwhelming for the students due to their disabilities. My classroom is a "safe place" for them to learn at their pace and not feel different! Your support will be greatly appreciated!
