Books, toys, and games in a primary classroom help provide basic foundational tools for growth and development. They inspire children by providing them with an experience. Students learn to engage cooperatively with each other. Books help us ask questions; while toys and games offer social and emotional support. Because of Covid 19, our children have missed out on developing social skills and are struggling to keep up.
So much knowledge and information can be learned when we give our students opportunities to learn more about themselves and others through productive play. Offering children a variety of educational books, toys, and games will help promote engagement and build a healthy social-emotional foundation.
Supporting my students with social-emotional skill building will help them beyond the classroom. It will inspire them to be lifelong learners and ultimately strengthen the communities they live in.
