Were you ever called a wiggle worm in school? Were you penalized for it? Did you struggle with success in school because of it? I answer yes to all of these questions!
Whether it be because of a medical condition or just because they are kids, students are wiggly! Instead of punishing them or making them "sit correctly in their chair," why not provide seating that will make them comfortable and allow for optimal learning? With this project, I seek various forms of seating that include wobble stools, balance balls, lap desks, stability cushions, and floor cushions. These supplies will allow students to use their own judgment to decide what seating option will be the best for them each day. Allowing students to make choices is key!
