For this project, I choose high-interest young adult books so my students will have a good selection of books to choose from in my classroom. Our school is a Title I school and we do not always have the most up-to-date selection of books from the students.
After reading '180 Days' by Kelly Gallagher and Penny Kittle, I am inspired to recreate the schedule they implemented by having my students do silent reading every single day using books they choose to read. In order to implement this new curriculum, I need the selection of books for the kids to choose from.
