I believe in keeping students engaged and active from bell to bell! We change on a block schedule, and it is hard to keep 11- and 12-year-olds attentive and focused on Math for 110 minutes! One way I can ensure the active participation of every student is to let them "show what they know" as we work through the lesson.
Using Individual Dry Erase Boards lets the whole class "speak at once" without disrupting the learning process. It also allows me to see at a glance who needs additional instruction and who understands. Even shy students who are afraid to speak up will hold up an answer and eagerly wait for a "thumbs up" or a "you've got it" from me. My students need Dry Erase Boards, Dry Erase Markers, and Erasers.
