Creating anchor charts together and displaying them throughout our classroom will allow students the ability to refer to previous learning and apply it to current or future lessons. Each day my students will walk into our classroom and be visually stimulated by the anchor charts and take ownership of all that they’ve learned. They will be excited to help create future charts to display. When a child gets stuck and is having trouble moving forward, myself or perhaps another classmate can remind them to refer to a displayed anchor chart to assist them. Many students are visual learners and will benefit from displayed anchor charts.
