Having an area rug in my classroom will give the students an organized, comfortable, and spacious place to sit when we all join together on the carpet for instruction, stories, sharing thoughts, etc. Currently, we have a small 5x7 rug but unfortunately it will not meet the need to comfortably sit 22 students. We would love to have a large area rug so that everyone will be able to have their own spot throughout the year! The rug will also benefit the students because it displays the alphabet that they can refer to for help with learning the letters, letter formation, and letter sounds throughout the school year.
