I am so excited to start a vocational training program on my campus. Through the snack cart our scholars will be able to practice social skills and money skills.
This service cart and calculators will help my scholars start their own classroom business.
The scholars will use the cart to deliver donated snack items to teachers and staff on designated days. The calculators will be used to make real world transactions (adding prices and calculating change) using a punch card or cash.
The staff will fill out a form making their selection for the following week. Two groups of students will be selected for the snack cart crew per week. One group will prepare the snack items and the second group will deliver the snacks to the staff. This program will teach students valuable life lessons and social skills while creating a way to return funds back into the program.
