These materials will make a huge difference in the immersive experience of Family and Consumer Sciences. Not only will the aprons and dish cloths serve a practical purpose of keeping students and other classroom materials clean but they will stress the importance of professionalism in the kitchen and in the workplace.
These materials will empower students with the feeling that their work is important and goes far beyond the traditional, Home Economics stigma. We are using these materials to save on paper products and are reinforcing the values of reduce, reuse and recycle in the classroom by using the washing machine we have access to.
