In the upper elementary grades at McKamy, students begin transitioning our music skills to instruments to prepare them for band and orchestra in middle school. I've found that instruments excite my students and serve as a strong motivator for learning new songs and instrumental techniques. Ukuleles are amazing instruments because they are highly accessible to all students. It is my hope that ukulele instruction will allow all my students to feel successful. Ukuleles versatile instruments that can serve as accompaniments to folk songs, as well as pop songs! These versatile instruments will transform what my students are able to play and compose!
