Fraction tiles and student clocks will help make a huge difference in how my students are able to learn. Fractions and time are two very difficult concepts for third graders to grasp when they have to visualize what is happening as we learn different aspects of each concept. Having these manipulatives will help make fractions and time more concrete for these kiddos. They will be able to use the fraction tiles to compare two different fractions and see for themselves which one is bigger or figure out two equivalent fractions. My students will be able to use the student clocks to move the hour and minute hands around to work on elapsed time.
