Everything in our world is moving...some things move fast, some things slow.
In Pre-K we want to be able to observe how things move so we can begin to develop our ideas about how the world works. We also want to learn about how we can use movement to solve problems. We want to learn how scientists and engineers use their knowledge about movement to create machines that can move in different ways. We want to have opportunities to express our ideas so that we can tell others what we have learned.
We will use the Create-a-Chain Reaction STEM Kit to explore how things move on land, we will use the water play stem kit to explore how things move on water and we will use the design and play kits to create our own forms of transportation.
Through play we will refine our understanding each day; with the knowledge, we will gain from using these materials we will move one step closer to being able to create solutions that will solve problems in our world.
