Being a kindergarten student means you begin the year with little to no knowledge of literacy and math. Building a strong sense of numbers, letters, and letter sounds is the most important part of these little kindergarteners' journey in the educational world. During the day, students are asked to work in groups, individually, and with a partner to build words, match letters, and recognize numbers. The materials being asked for will create a positive and fun learning environment for all my students.
The most magical piece to learning is watching a child learn to love the process. Using game-based learning provides a wonderful opportunity for students to learn through playing and games. The biggest piece to learning in kindergarten is also learning how to read. By offering students a selection of leveled reading books, students can explore and learn through each book they read. Kindergarten is the beginning of educational learning and this opportunity will give each student the best first year in learning they can get.
