I chose various cooking utensils and small appliances for my materials. These specific materials will aide in the success for independence for my students with special needs. The hope with this project is that my students will learn and know how to create, cook, and clean up after themselves as productive members of today's society.
The materials will make a difference because it gives my students something of their own they can be responsible and proud of. It is such an inspiration to see the "light bulb" go off when they accomplish such a huge task all on their own! I want to provide ever opportunity I can to help prepare them for their future.
