By having these novels for our classroom, I am able to use them to teach small group on skills as well as comprehension strategies. These will support our South Carolina teaching standards and will empower my students with amazing literature. These novels will help me to differentiate my reading groups as well as to help students build a LOVE for reading. Students will use them in small groups as well as in literature circles. The novels I have chosen are both fiction and nonfiction books. This will be a great start to our collection for literature circles and small group instruction.
