Last year one of my grade level teammates was fortunate enough to have a flexible seating project funded and used it this past school year.
Through this, I discovered the magic of movement while working on the highly demanding standards of today's schools. Students who used the wobble stools stayed more focused and produced better quality work. The stools were especially helpful during reading and writing lessons.
In addition, students had to use problem-solving skills to share and figure out fair ways for all to get an opportunity to use the chairs. Having these stools in my classroom would allow my students to move while completing their work.
