I will use these flexible seating donations to encourage my students to make decisions that benefit their learning style the most. Not only will this allow them freedom and independence, but this also gets them up and moving keeping their minds alert and more engaged with multiple balance balls, colorful stools and floor cushions. An uncomfortable student is a distracted student, so these options will help them to stay calm and focused and dry erase clip boards and dry erase markers will allow them to complete any type of work away from a traditional desk setting. Flexible seating also encourages students to share and take turns in different seating options, which is a skill I want my students to learn for their real world environment. This will definitely benefit my students with sensory processing, ADD, ADHD and ASD leading to them feeling more supported in my classroom.
