Early learners today are faced with unprecedented challenges due to COVID-19. Besides the fact that they don’t get to actually see their teacher face-to-face they are also missing out on opportunities for fine motor development and interactive tactile learning that prepares them for educational success.
Currently our students are learning from home without the resources needed to gain the muscle control needed to write their name, the reading material to help them learn print concepts, and the math tools to establish a strong number sense. The products I selected will be used to make a Distance Learning binder to help the students gain the foundational skills needed for Kindergarten and beyond. Because the majority of my students do not have access to printers and copiers, this will guarantee that ALL of my students can participate in interactive learning and practice skills modeled during online lessons.
I am so proud of the initial success with Distance Learning with my class, has experience. I also know the Pre-K students learn best by touching and doing. Please support this project and help give these students learning materials to support hand-on learning.
