Our school library serves students in a Title I school where many children come from low-income households and a large number are English Language Learners. For many of our students, the library is a safe, welcoming place where they can explore stories, build language skills, and discover a love of reading. As students learn English as a second language, access to engaging, age-appropriate books and resources is essential to building vocabulary, comprehension, and confidence. Support for our library helps ensure that every child—regardless of background—has the opportunity to succeed, feel included, and see themselves as readers and learners.
