The 4th graders in my class have a wide range of reading abilities. As a small 4K-12 school we also face a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds as well as a small school budget. But the students still want to learn! They are your typical football playing, soccer playing, biking, smiling, fun loving kids who need who need to learn to read. And actually at this age, they typically like school yet especially when I can relate to them and they are the technology generation.
