A clean, colorful classroom carpet will be an inviting place for students to gather for morning circle which we use to build community and get to know each other. It is also a place that is used for mini-lessons that students sit on to hear and watch what the next writing assignment will look like, or where they come together with a white board and marker in hand to work on math problems.
The classroom carpet is used not only for teacher-led activities, but also for students to learn in groups or individually. Students enjoy working on their projects on the carpet or reading to themselves or each other. The carpet makes the classroom a more inviting place.
