Quality books and stories make all the difference! Dragons Love Tacos and The Secret Pizza Party...(English and Spanish versions!) What fun! When my students love a book, they engage, they laugh and they talk!
It can be a challenge to find books that fit the bill in English, let alone Spanish. These books are carefully chosen and will be an asset!
I use the books to develop lessons that build vocabulary, comprehension, verbal expression and higher order thinking skills. The books are a launching pad for all kinds of language-building activities and lessons. My favorite activity is having the students act out the stories with puppets and props. The kids love it.
