This rug will allow the students to be able to sit together while they learn. They will be able to work collaboratively. I do a lot of my instructions from the Smart Board and the students would have a learning rug where they can stay engaged throughout my lesson. A learning rug allows the classroom to feel warm and inviting for the students. When I am conducting my lessons, I like to incorporate turn and talk times and a rug would allow for an easy transition for a turn and talk with their partner. I also like to incorporate think-pair-share type activities during my lesson which allows me to check for understanding. As stated earlier, this rug would allow for collaboration among my students.
