The Double Wide Teaching Easel will give my students the ability to practice their skills in a variety of specific ways. My students will use it for small group instruction, whole group instruction, and independent practice. One of the聽techniques I implement in the classroom is 鈥淚 do; we do; you do鈥. The easel provides a solution that allows students to feel comfortable seeing what I do, what their peers do, and how they can also do. Because of the versatility of the easel, students can see my model of letter formation by using the 鈥榳rite and wipe鈥 side. Then, they will have the opportunity to participate and use the 鈥榣ined side鈥 to practice.
Ultimately, it will be a great learning tool for students that really need it!
The Double Wide Teaching Easel also has a place for hanging pocket charts for students to easily access. Pocket charts are used for vocabulary building, word sorts, word families, math skills, etc. With minimal space in a crowded classroom, this will be very helpful.
The easel will also be used with chart paper for the students to interact with story retell, character traits and a variety of other lessons. The students will be able to reach easily to manipulate and write and continue to strengthen their learning.
