I have a thriving classroom full of eager learners each year at my school. Students come from various backgrounds and home environments. They are all excitingly unique and their learning styles are just as unique! I strive as a second grade teacher to offer many different varieties in my styles of teaching and resources for my students.
Today, technology has become a significant part of life in many different aspects and I aim to give my students the experiences they need to succeed in all things technology. I have a large amount of students that do not have access to technology at home. I love to incorporate technology into my lessons and for my students to have extended practice on our standards.
In the past, I have watched the drive my students tend to have when they get to "have fun" learning through technology. They hardly believe how much practice they are getting because of the level of enjoyment. I hope that by having a small center of Chromebooks that my students can access throughout the day, they will be able to learn through technology in a way that many will not get the chance to do outside of school.
